This Place Called Love – Songs from the Heartland

Sometimes in life, a person can land in some of the most unusual and unique places—complete with plenty of adventure and escapade! From a small town, to across the country and back again, one woman shares her "happily ever" after love finally tracked her down in, of all places, the heartland.

This Place Called Love features Tammy Meneghini, with James Neal Koudelka as musical director. The cabaret includes music and stories about what happens when unexpected love comes true, featuring original music as well as some old favorites.

Meneghini said, “I recently married my best friend from college, and the show reflects all my experiences over this last year as I moved from New York City to Nebraska to be with him. It’s really about finding the true storybook ending, that starts when you just stop and allow yourself to be loved. The show is about giving up the search and just letting love find me.”

Fundraising for the fight against cancer

A portion of the proceeds from all shows will go to benefit the American Cancer Society. In addition to the price of admission, audiences are encouraged bring at least one old music CD they no longer listen to, to be donated to the Strike At Cancer Foundation’s Healing Music Program.

The Foundation's mission is to provide emotional support to cancer patients and their families. CDs are given to cancer treatment centers, oncology units in hospitals, and hospice care facilities so that patients can listen to music to offset the discomfort, tedium and boredom of cancer treatments. All types of music are appreciated.
